Mohawk - Mrs. Mary Guido Aiello, 84, of 6 N. Richfield St passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. She was born in Frankfort on December 20, 1923, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Cologira Scamardo Licari and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Dominick Guido on September 6, 1943 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Dominick passed away on January 1, 1979. She was later married to James S. Aiello on April 17, 1982 in Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk. Jim passed away on March 9, 2002. Mary was employed by Univac in both the Ilion & Utica Plants for many years and was later employed as a driver for Rome State School for the Deaf. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament and a former member of the Ilion Moose Lodge #1010 Aux. Mary Frances is survived by two sons and one daughter in law, Louis & Phyllis Guido and Dick Guido & his companion, Olwen Drake all of Mohawk; two daughters and sons in law, Donnamarie & Rod Lewis of Sorrento, FL and Joann & Roger Jabolski of Frankfort; two step daughters and sons in law, Frances & Vincent Fiorentino of Herkimer and Victoria & Mark Duesler of Mohawk; one sister and brother in law, Phyllis & Vito Costanza of Frankfort; two brothers and sisters in law, Anthony & Marie Licari of Frankfort and Sam & Mayme Licari of Ft. Herkimer; her grandchildren, Rebecca & her husband, Michael Carlson, Theresa Hoke & her companion, Joseph Appler, Louis Guido, Joanna & her husband, Brad Sweeney, Daniel Lewis, Corey Guido & his companion, Jeanelle Kovach, Scott Guido & his companion, Nicole Schultz and Jennifer Guido; her step grandchildren, Salvatore & his wife, Doreen Fiorentino, James & his wife, Nicole Fiorentino, Nicole Duesler and A. J. Duesler; her very close neighbor and friend, Jean Brant; thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Bennie Licari, Louis Licari and Anthony Licari and one sister, Angela Tamburro. Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10:15 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Mark Cunningham and assisted by Sister Mary Jo Tallman, Parish Life Director, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-8 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
