Obituary of Sherry L. Cote

Mrs. Sherry L. Cote Mohawk - Mrs. Sherry L. Cote, 61, of 2536 State Rt 168 passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in Valley Health Services. She was born in Herkimer on April 6, 1946, the daughter of the late John and Lois Petrie Harter. She attended Ilion schools and graduated from Ilion High School with the class 1964. She was married to Lawrence A. Cote on June 27, 1964 in Annunciation Church, Ilion. Mrs. Cote was employed as a Technician for MDS and later General Electric, Utica plant for many years. Sherry is survived by her beloved husband, Lawrence A. Cote; four sisters, Verna Gydsen of Ilion, Linda La Marshe of Plattsburgh, Willamita Merril of FL and Dorothy Ward of Oklahoma City; one brother and sister in law, Frank & Florence Harter of Mohawk; her in laws, Karen & James Papte of Mohawk, Sandra & Marlin Keim of Lancaster, PA and Ronald & Pricilla Cote of Mohawk; very special friends, Judy Sporer and John & Pat Hess and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, John Harter and William Harter and sister, Mary Bouck. Her funeral will be held Friday morning at 11:00 am at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with the Rev. Joseph Chamberlin, Pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, Little Falls, officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens later in the spring. Calling Hours will be Friday morning from 10-11 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
