Frankfort - Ms. Nina Spina, 86, of 142 Litchfield Rd passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. She was born in Frankfort on August 6, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Jennie Maphia Spina and she attended Frankfort schools. Nina was at one time employed by Remington Rand and later for Univac, Utica Plant for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church Nina is survived by one sister & brother in law, Mary & Lee Marcantonio of Utica; two brothers and one sister in law, Joseph Spina and Frank & Thelma Spina all of Frankfort; her sister in law, Frances Spina of Frankfort; her nephews and nieces, John & his wife, Nancy Spina and Anthony & his wife, Janet Spina all of Frankfort, Jean & her husband, Doug Gaffney of New Hartford, Brian Marcantonio of Frankfort, Sue & her husband, Mark Lofstrom of Gibsonia, PA, Frank & his wife, Marilyn Spina of Tampa, FL and Mark & his wife, Vicky Spina of Frankfort; her very close friends, Carol & Gene Bowman of OH; a special and dedicated cousin, Paul Maphia of New Hartford and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, John Spina, Paul Spina and Anthony Spina. Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 11:00 am in All Souls Chapel of Mt. Olivet Cemetery where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Saturday from 9-10:30 am at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
