Obituary of Lydia G. Vivacqua
Frankfort - Mrs. Lydia Vivacqua of 218 E. Main St passed away Monday, November 26, 2007 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital. She was born in Herkimer on August 16, 1926, the daughter of the late Clarence and Arimina Thout Yelle and she attended Herkimer schools. She was at one time married to Fred Vivacqua. Lydia was employed by General Electric and later as a Receiver for Remington Arms, Ilion for many years until her retirement in 1982. She was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Lydia is survived by her children, Ronald & his wife, Linda Vivacqua of Frankfort, Frank & his wife, Debbie Vivacqua of Yorkville, Theresa Vivacqua and Fred & his wife, Marybeth Vivacqua, all of Frankfort, and Ben & Kathy Yelle of Albany; one brother & sister in law, Charles & Carol Yelle of FL; one sister & brother in law, Theresa & John Lynch of Ft. Herkimer; her in laws, James Vivacqua, Sid Vivacqua, Mary Foglia, Agnes Wilk, Mary Vivacqua, Dolores Vivacqua and Don Ligowski; her grandchildren, Dina Vivacqua, Kristie & her husband, Robert Downes, Ron & his wife, Sara Vivacqua Jr, Maria Vivacqua, Frank Vivacqua, Michele Vivacqua, Kim Vivacqua, Lori Vivacqua, Becki Vivacqua, Teal Vivacqua and Freddy Vivacqua; four great grandchildren, Abbie, R J, Michaela and Anthony; her close friends, Jennie Hamm, Nikki Branck, Phyllis Talarico, Alex Talarico, Nick Talarico, Diane & Mark Miller, Marissa Miller and Kaleigh Miller and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ben Yelle U S Army KIA WWll and Richard Yelle and two sisters, Diana Yelle and Anita Ligowski Her funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:15 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 11:00 am in St. Francis De Sales Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lydia's memory may be made to Frankfort Fire Dept. Memorial Park Fund, 158 Litchfield St, Frankfort, NY 13340. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
