I will always remember watching my grandfather Sam Piazza and my Uncle Sam play pool, fix old cars and talk about the war where there served as members of the 802 Tank Destroyer Battalion. Your war stories taught the importance of never giving up when hurt and always marching forward despite what lies ahead because it was just something you have to do. Thank you for your service Uncle Sam.

My Uncle Sam was one of the best men I ever had the honor to know. He and my Aunt Lil had a hugely positive impact on my life - they are both loved and missed dearly!

Uncle Sam was my Godfather. He was the most loving and thoughtful man. Always greeting you at the door with the warmest hugs, best stories, best jeep, best electric train ever. My sons still talk about the time he let them drive his jeep around the backyard.
That was years ago. A great memory to have for stories for my Grandchildren. I love you Uncle Sam. I will miss you so much...Sandy
