Mrs. Frances Noga Lockwood- E. Herkimer-Oswego - Mrs. Frances Noga Lockwood, 90, formerly of Palisade St., E. Herkimer passed away Sunday, October 21, 2007 in St. Luke's Health Services, Oswego. She was born in New York City on October 16, 1917, the daughter of the late Michael and Antoinette Noga. Frances was raised in Utica and attended local schools. She was married to Edward "Ted" Lockwood on June 4, 1938 in St. Francis De Sales Church. Ted passed away on March 29, 1987. Frances was employed as a seamstress for Gilbert Mills and later by Duofold, Mohawk for many years. She was a communicant of St. Francis De Sales Church, Herkimer and Sacred Heart Church, Scriba and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Frances and Ted would spend their summers at their camp in Forestport and enjoyed sharing their home with family and friends. She will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness and loving kindness. Frances is survived by one sister, Helen Sinker of Yorkville; two sisters in law, Lillian Noga Bourgoin of MA and Rita Mae Tanner of CA; one brother in law, William Lockwood of Richfield Springs; her niece, Patricia & her husband, Joseph Romanowski with whom she had resided in Oswego; her close friend, Ann Sarpen and several nieces, nephews cousins and friends who were all loved by her and who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward Noga and John Noga and one sister, Mary Townsend. Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 am from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 10:00 am in St. Francis De Sales Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Mark Cunningham, Pastor. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3-7 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
