Mrs. Rose Palmieri Frankfort - Mrs. Rose Palmieri, 91, of 317 Fourth Ave passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 in Valley Health Services with her family by her side. She was born in Frankfort on February 24, 1925, the daughter of the late Leon and Mary Dee Iocovozzi. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort High School with the class of 1942. She later attended and graduated from Utica School of Beauty in 1944. She was married to Ben Palmieri on April 17, 1949 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Rose was the owner and operator Rose's Beauty Salon, Frankfort. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church Rose is survived by her beloved husband, Ben Palmieri; one daughter and son in law, Marilu and Robert Pacific of Frankfort; one son and daughter in law, Vincent and Carol Palmieri of Whitesboro; four grandchildren, Domenica and her husband, Kevin O'Donnell, Julie Pacific, Michael Palmieri and Alaina Palmieri; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Josephine "Cookie" Iocovozzi of Palm Coast, FL; her in laws, Angelo Long of Frankfort, Joseph and Rosemarie Palmieri of Little Falls, John and Toni Palmieri of Herkimer and William and Janet Palmieri all of Herkimer, Sam and Jennie Palmieri of Gloversville and Josephine "Jopa" Palmieri of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Vincent J. Iocovozzi, George Iocovozzi and Anthony Iocovozzi and two sisters, Flora Favat Long and Grace Petrilli. Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:45 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-8 at the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rose's memory may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413 or Valley Health Services, 690 W German St, Herkimer, NY 13350. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
