Frankfort-Mrs. Florence R. Loiacono, 90, of 219 Sixth Ave passed away Friday, August 10, 2007 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. She was born in Frankfort on April 22, 1917, the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence Sgroi Tripple and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Frank Loiacono on June 16, 1940 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mr. Loiacono passed away on December 21, 1964. Florence was employed as a Seamstress for Gordon's Dress Factory and later as an assembler for General Electric, Utica. She was lastly employed as a seamstress for Utica Casket Co., Utica until her retirement in 1982. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. She was a founding director, Past Vice President and member of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens, a member of the Columbiana Society and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Florence is survived by her devoted daughter & son in law, Janet & Joseph Belmont of Frankfort; one brother & sister in law, Joseph & Shirley Tripple of Schuyler; her granddaughters, Christina & her husband, Albert Moretti, Debra & her husband, Sean Wainwright and Janel Belmont & her fiancée, Jeff Apel; nine great grandchildren, Rachael Moretti, Nathan Moretti, Marissa Wainwright, Alexis Wainwright, Kayla Grems, Joshua Grems, Kayla Apel, Jennifer Apel and Brittany Apel; her in laws, George & Verna Loiacono, Henry & Sophie Loiacono, Eva Tripple and Beatrice Tripoli and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Infant Joseph Loiacono on January 21, 1947, four sisters, Mary Bommarito, Sarah Agastaro, Mamie Bereza and Josephine Tripple and four brothers, John Tripoli, Anthony Tripoli, Michael Tripple and Charles Tripple. Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:30 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens will meet Monday at 4:30 at the funeral home for services.
