Mr. Charles M. Hughes, Sr Ilion - Mr. Charles M. Hughes, Sr, 78, of London Towers passed away peacefully Thursday, March 22, 2007 in his home. He was born in Utica on August 11, 1928, the son of the late Charles and Julia Kostera Hughes and was raised and educated in Rochester. He served with the US Army during World War II with the Occupation Forces in Japan. He was at one time married to Lorraine Fernalld. Charles is survived by two daughters, Linda Hughes of Clinton and Julie Hughes of FL; four sons & one daughter in law, Michael Hughes of FL, Larry & Cindy Hughes of NJ, Charles Hughes, Jr. of FL and Robert Hughes of Syracuse; three sisters & two brothers in law, Geraldine & Salvatore Tocco of Frankfort, Eleanor Reina of Ilion and Gail & Richard Maggiolino of Frankfort; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother in law, Joseph Reina His funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 pm in the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with Lt. Col. James M. Jadick, USAFR, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday afternoon from 12:00 until the time of the service at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
