Mr. Vito Paratore Frankfort - Mr. Vito Paratore, 102, of 117 E Main St went to the Lord on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in the Masonic Care Community's Bronx Household where he has been a resident for the past three years. He was born in Frankfort on July 26, 1904, the son of the late Salvatore and Rose Migliore Paratore and he attended Frankfort schools. He was married to Anna Cosamano on June 7, 1930 in Sts. Peter & Paul's Church, Frankfort. Mrs. Paratore passed away on October 12, 1977. Mr. Paratore was employed as a Sander and Polisher for Union Fork And Hoe Co., Frankfort until his retirement in 1970 after 36 years of dedicated service. He was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a former member of its Holy Name Society and had served as an usher for over 53 years. He was a Past President of the Frankfort Civic Club and the Young at Heart Senior Citizens. He was an avid bowler, bowling with several senior teams throughout the area. Vito loved music and was a talented Mandolin player and loved to dance the polka at any function he attended. He was a die hard Yankee fan and loved to play cards especially poker and pinnacle. Vito is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Sister Mary Rita Paratore O.S.F. of Hewitt, NJ and Mayme Ann & Alan Kennell of Frankfort; one son & daughter in law, Salvatore & Theresa Paratore of Whitesboro; one brother, Frank Paratore of Frankfort; one sister & brother in law, Rose & Pat Guarniere of Frankfort; six grandchildren, Mari Rita & her husband, Michael Alesandro, Donna Kennell, Barbara & her husband Todd Howlett, Drs Alan & his wife, Melissa Kennell, Brenda Paratore and Michael Paratore & his fiancée, Sarah Richards; five great grandchildren, Ryan Alesandro, Kristen Alesandro, Michael Alesandro, Vivian Kennel and Jordyn Howlett and several nieces, nephews, cousins and his extended family in the Bronx household. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Rosemarie Paratore, four sisters and two brothers in law, Florence Paratore, Josephine & John Migliore, Mary & Joseph Costanza and Maria Paratore; two brothers and three sisters in law, Carl & Lucy Paratore, Joseph & Carrie Paratore and Stella Paratore. His funeral will be held Monday morning at 9:30 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Concelebrated by the Rev. John Yanas and the Rev. Felix Colosimo. Spring interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens will meet Sunday afternoon at 3:30 at the funeral home for services. Vito's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Masonic Care Community, Bronx Household for the special care given their father, especially Theresa, Dorothy, Linda, Shirley, Marilyn and Tammy.
