To Marilyn and the family: I am sad to hear of Pastor Steven Zuk's passing but Blessed to have known him and at peace to know that he is with his Heavenly Father now. He was a very loving man of God who never judged, or criticized anyone but had a loving word for them. I will always remember that he was the first one down on his face in the sanctuary when time called for that. I give my love and condolences to Marilyn and the family.

Dear Marilyn, Nate and Jon;
So VERY sorry to hear about your loss. My Dad (Walt) and I loved coming to visit Steve (and you all) at the Coalition. It was my pleasure to listen to Dad and Steve talking about their time working together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I'm sure Dad and Steve are already together in heaven discussing the good old days.

It is a temporary loss though; for those who know and are known by The Lord. We look forward with great eagerness and anticipation to seeing you again Steve.
We pray that God's peace, that passes all understanding; will gird up all those who are mourning his passing . Take care. With love, Dale and Cindy Maury

Stephan, as it is pronounced in Ukrainian was not only my Christian brother but my Ukrainian brother as well. Many Ukrainians were forced to move to Germany during WW 2. Being forced labor for the Germans. They went through many painful times. His parents were made to work against their own will. By being blessed to come to America, Steve was blessed to become a Pastor At his church. Being Blessed by his parents to be raised Ukrainian Orthodox, (Christian) He also was blessed by the Lord to Ukrainian cultural background. 40 days from his passing to his new residence with Our Lord Jesus Christ, there will be a special service August 7th, 2016 at Saint Volodymyr Ukrainian Church in Utica, NY at 9:00 a.m...I ask His Family and all his friends to please attend. This symbolizes after 40 days, Christ's Ascension to heaven. Until He comes back in Glory. When will see Christ and Steve again in the Ressurection of the dead. "and the dead in Christ shall rise" to go to Glory. I loved Steve. I brought him Pirogies that we make at the Ukrainian church every week, to his work at Compassion Coalition. He loved them so much. I will miss him so much. He helped our church many times. By his prayers and blessings by calling me and telling me when things that we could use making Pirogies were available, until his retirement. Even then He was attempted to help us and did except when the people of the world hindered him. Then his medical condition happened in which we were all devastated. Now Stephan's walk with Christ is awesome. It is those left behind that suffer the pain of loss. We should be happy for him not to suffer any longer. I Love you S and Steve. My condolences to his wife, children and grandchildren especially to His family of parisioners & Pastors at Redeemer Church.

Laurel and I were so sad to hear of Steve's passing. He was such a blessing in our lives during some of the Mt. Zion years, always treating us like a true friend. His prayers for us and prophetic insights were so encouraging and compassionate. We loved visiting with him after services. He was such a great representation of Jesus and His live. Wishing we could be with you all as you celebrate his life and say goodbye. We live in South Dakota now so that is not possible. We are praying for you all. We look forward with you to seeing him again in that awesome place Jesus is preparing for those who believe in Him. Love to you from the Hartwig's. Randy

Dear Marilyn and family, the Ciupka sisters, Helen, Irene, Olga, Marge and Marion were saddened to hear about Steve, a childhood friend from the Ukrainian neighborhood in Herkimer. I was thankful to get to know Steve much better when we were adults, and then to know that he loved the Lord!! We express our deepest and heartfelt sympathy. Psalm 116:13 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. The marvel of His grace and power is that, as believers, our loss of life on earth also brings great gain. Today we have only a glimpse. One day we will understand it in the fullness of His light. Faith builds a bridge across the gulf of death. The Lord bless you, your family and loved ones with strength, comfort and faith. In Christian love, Helen Ciupka Kilstrom

His love will remain an inspiration to all who knew him as we aspire to know Jesus as he does. No one can ever forget how his love and friendship impacted all who met him.

John 14:27 - I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give is not fragile like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid.

I remember shortly after I started attending Redeemer Church I went up front with my mother for prayer one morning after service. Pastor Steve and Marilyn were the ones who prayed with us. I will never forget what he prayed that day, the words of encouragement that he spoke. It was a very difficult time in my life and I know that his prayer that day started a turning point in my life. I will forever be grateful to him and Marilyn for that day. Marilyn and the rest of the Zuk family, you are in my prayers.
