Obituary of Ann Russitano

Ann Russitano, of Frankfort, passed away, Tuesday, February 27, 2007, in the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion. She was born in Frankfort, the daughter of the Dovigo and Christina Costanza Smizzi and graduated from Frankfort High School. On November 20, 1948, she married Joseph Russitano in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mr. Russitano passed away October 13, 1996. Prior to her retirement in 1986, Ann was employed as secretary to Edward Calt, General Superintendent and Work Manager for Chicago Pneumatic, Utica for thirty five years. At one time she was also employed with Union Fork and Hoe and Griffiss Air Force Base. Ann was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort. She was a member of the Addolorata Society and the Utica Chapter of the National Secretaries Association. Ann was a loving, kind, caring person who was always there for everybody. She is survived by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Jennie and Anthony Migliore; her in-laws, Dominick Russitano, Rosario and Marie Russitano, Anthony and Roccine Russitano, Peter Russitano and Ann and La Verne Strong; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews Ann was predeceased by her sisters, Florence Smizzi, Frances Rizzo and Anita Cesario; her brother, Joseph Smizzi; her in-laws, Antonio and Gaetana Russitano, Charles Cesario, Sam Rizzo, Rose Russitano, Beverly Russitano, Roccine Smizzi and Antoinette Smizzi and her special niece, Loraine Marie Cesario. Her funeral will be 12:30 PM, Thursday from V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave, Frankfort and 1PM, Thursday at Our Lady Queen of Apostle Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Spring Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. Visitation will be from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, Thursday prior to the funeral at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. The family would like a special thank you to Dr. Vecchio, Dr. Sharma, all the staffs at Claxton Manor, Little Falls Hospital and St. Elizabeth Medical Center, all the ambulance drivers and attendants and to the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home.
