Mrs. Alice L. Mackin Herkimer Alice L. Mackin, of 249 S. Main Street, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. She was born in Hinckley, NY, the daughter of the late William and Blanche Poirier Dourney. Alice was married to Thomas P. Mackin in Annunciation Church, Ilion. She was a communicant of St. Francis De Sales Church, Herkimer. Mrs. Mackin is survived by her sister-in-law Teresa Waite of Ilion; her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rose Dourney and Cecilia Frank, her brothers, Victor Dourney and Walter Dourney and her sisters-in-laws, Marion Dourney and Gert Mackin. Her funeral will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday from Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer and at 11 AM, Saturday in St. Francis De Sales Church where a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Mark Cunningham. Spring Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9AM, Saturday until the time of the services at Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home. Contributions may be offered to St. Francis De Sales Church or to a charity of one's choice. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Alice's great nephew Steve Frank and his family for the many acts of kindness and special care they provided Alice the past several years. Special thanks to Althea and the people Alice knew in her apartment building prior to moving to Valley Health. Special thanks to the staff at Valley Health, Little Falls Hospital and St. Elizabeth Medical Center for their care and understanding.
