Mrs. Mary Irene Conley
Schuyler - Mrs. Mary Irene Conley, 70, passed away Friday, January 5, 2007 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home.
She was born in Fall River, MA on September 21, 1936, the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Cooper McCarthy. She attended local schools and graduated from Utica Free Academy with the class of 1953. Irene was married to Robert C. Conley on June 30, 1972 in Frankfort United Methodist Church. Mr. Conley passed away on January 15, 1999. Mrs. Conley was employed as a Secretary for Abelove's, Utica for many years until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of Ilion Moose Lodge #1010 Aux.
Irene is survived by three daughters & two sons in law, Kelly & Thomas Adams of Ilion, Patricia & Edward Lindsay of Schuyler and Kathleen M. Conley of Ilion; three sons & daughters in law, Daniel L. & Marilyn Conley of Newport, David R. & Cheri Conley of Floyd and Mark A. & Anna Conley of Herkimer; her daughter in law, Mary Conley of Schuyler; two sisters, Kay Leaf of Syracuse and Shannon Primarolo of Ilion; fifteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Robert W. Conley on July 5, 1998, one sister, Patricia McCarthy in 1997, one brother, Thomas McCarthy in 1970 and two brothers in law, Donald Leaf and Richard Primarolo.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 am in the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with the Rev. Robert Wollaber, pastor of the Frankfort United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Oak View Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Tuesday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
Irene's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center's 3A especially Dr. Kannan and the 4th floor of the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her stay and passing.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Irene's memory may be made to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or the Schuyler Volunteer Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
