Dear Robbie & Family
We have just heard this week that Chris had died unexpectedly. Unfortunately, I have not had any contact with Chris since his Dad died, I saw him at his funeral. I lived in Connecticut then (30 years there), and have since moved to Florida for retirement with my husband. I am his first cousin and we grew up together in Kansas. After reading about him in these condolences, I can see that he was blessed by many of his families charactistics and gifts. The good natured, friendly, modest, hard working comments are all gifts that his family has exhibited throughout their lives, and that was instilled in him in formative years.
Chris used to come out to our farm in Kansas in the summer and spend time with us - a family of five children. My mother is still alive and she was Leo's sister. She is going to be 89 in March - the only living aunt that Chris had.
Chris's German heritage was a good-- good one!! Our Grandma Breitschwerdt was a simple and loving person that loved all her grandchildren - one by one they are coming to meet her in heaven - Darryl died last year, as well as Peggy - two years ago- Chris' first cousin who also lived in California then moved to Texas.
In the picture, I am amazed at the strong resemblance Chris was to his mother, Nora.
My family is a very close one - We all gather in Kansas each year from all over the country to celebrate our parents birthdays. Chris would remember all the birthdays we used to get together to celebrate with homemade ice cream and cake. These are memories that I have of Chris, the importance of family was very strong in his childhood. Somewhere along life's pathway we have been seperated - perhaps as God calls us home we will a be reunited as one in Him.
In Christs Love,
Janice Bonini, 1st Cousin

I am so saddened to hear of Chris's passing and I will remember Chris for the person he was to me: decent, friendly, competant, modest, good natured, and hard working. I'm sure he was all that and a lot more to his family, and my condolences to you in your time of sorrow and loss. God Speed Chris, I will miss you here at work.

Additional Obit Info
On May 6, 1995, Chris married the love of his life, Roberta Hughes. Together the couple were the owners and operators of Polymer Concepts, a plastic molding business in Corona, Ca. In 1998 they sold the business adn moved to Robbi's hometown , Frankfort.
Chris was especially proud of attaining his Eagle Scout award at the age of 15. His interest in scouting led him to later become a Scout Master and enjoy the enthusiasm for and the love of the outdoors. He was happiest when at the family camp on Otter Lake. He loved to teach his wife and children to love the water, woods and wildlife like he did. Chris was a gentle, caring and thoughtful man, who earned the respect and genuine friendship of all who knew him.
Chris' family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to all of his and Robbie's freinds and his collegues at Borrows for their expressions of love and caring. To the doctors and nurses of Bassett Hospital's ICU for their valent efforts and tender care during his stay and passing.
