Mr. Carl J. Spatol Frankfort - Mr. Carl J. Spatol, 70, of 4326 Acme Rd passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 27, 2006 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. He was born in Ilion on November 27, 1936, the son of the late Frank and Mary Miranto Spatol. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1955. In Carl's youth he played football for the Frankfort Falcons Semi Pro Football Team. He was married to Rosalie Spohn on June 2, 1962 in St. Mary's Church. Mr. Spatol was a Union Carpenter with the Carpenters Local #120, Utica from 1964 until his retirement in 2006. He was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of St. Francis Di Paolo Society and the Frankfort Beagle Club. He served with the Carpenters Local 120 since 1964 and as their Treasurer from 1976 until 2000 and as a Trustee of their Healthcare Fund for over 10 years. Carl was a loving husband, father and grandfather who worked hard to provide for his family. He will always be remembered for his love and devotion to his wife, Rosalie. Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Rosalie Spatol; one daughter & son in law, Maryann & Scott Murray of Syracuse; his cherished grandchildren, Maria Murray and Joseph Murray; two brothers and one sister in law, Joseph & Jeannie Spatol of Chicago and Francis Spatol of Frankfort; his in laws, Joanne Lyke and Michael & Judi Spohn all of FL; his nieces and nephews, Joseph & Theresa Spatol, Marc & Jennifer Spatol, Frank & Tracey Spatol, Chris & Elaine Spatol, Michael Spohn, John & Keeley Spohn, Cydney Spohn, Stephen Spohn, Heather & Edward Potrzeba; Carl's close friends, John & Addie Gorea, Jim & Meg Filingeri, Don & Joanne Oyer, Hank Valent and Joe Nicastro and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. His funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:30 am in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends in the vestibule of the church on Friday morning from 9:30 until the time of Mass. His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carl's memory may be made to Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1650 South Ave., Suite 100, Rochester, NY, 14620 or the American Cancer Society, 100 Lomond Court, Utica, NY, 13502-5949.
