Obituary of Vincent A. Aiello

Vincent A. "Jim" Aiello Frankfort - Mr. Vincent A. "Jim" Aiello, 76, of 303 Palmer St., passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2006 in Faxton-St. Luke´s Healthcare Center, New Hartford. He was born on October 23, 1929, in Frankfort, the son of the late Anthony "Nan" J. and Antoinotte Gravinia Aiello. Jim attended Frankfort schools and was a graduate of Frankfort-Schuyler High School with the Class of 1947. He served with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant and was Honorably Discharged on February 17, 1952. On April 25, 1953, he was married to Carmelita Amato in St. Mary´s Church, Frankfort. Jim was employed as a Computer Technician with Univac, Utica plant, later with ICL and lastly Laser Percision until his retirement in 1993. Mr. & Mrs. Aiello were the owners and operaters of V-JA's Lounge in Frankfort from 1975 to 1993. Jim was a communicate of Our Lady Queen of Apostle Church, Frankfort. Jim is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Carm Aiello; two sons and daughter-in-law Anthony & Lori Aiello and Vincent Aiello all of Frankfort; three daughters & two sons-in-law, Gigi & Robert Ruffule, Sherri & Michael Evanchak all of Frankfort and Paula Dickan of Syracuse; his grandchildren, Jim & Gina Aiello, Frank Frank, Ryan Frank, Michael Aiello, Bobby Ruffule, Austin Evanchak, Carli Ruffule, Toni Evanchak and Vincenza Aiello; his sister-in-law, Charlotte Coniguliaro of Frankfort; a special cousin, John Luggerio and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Frances P. Aiello on November 16, 1954, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dora & Charles Amato and his brother-in-law, Hobo Amato. His funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 4-8 at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort. Jim's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr Butala, Michelle Misiszek and the nurses and staff of St. Luke's Memorial Hospital's 6th floor for the wonderful care and compassion shown to him during his illness and passing.
