Mr. Simon Testa
Frankfort - Mr. Simon Testa, 74, of 258 Mann St passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born in Frankfort on August 20, 1931, the son of the late Angelo and Antoinetta Sutch Testa and he attended Frankfort schools. He served with the US Marine Corps and was Honorably Discharged on April 20,1954. He later served with the Marine Corps Reserve and was Honorably Discharged in 1962. Simon was married to Rachel Ciallelo on March 10, 1955 in St. Mary´s Church, a blessed union of 51 years. He was employed in the Shipping & Receiving department for General Electric, Bleeker St plant for many years until his retirement in 1986. He was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles.
Simon is survived by his beloved wife, Rachel Testa; three sons & daughters in law, Nick & Kathy Testa, Ronald & Debbie Testa and Michael & Gina Testa all of Frankfort; one daughter, Regina Testa of Frankfort, one sister, Delores Chuff of FL; nine grandchildren, Jason Testa, Ronald Testa Jr, Sharilyn Testa, Jennifer Testa, Anthony Mody, Nick Testa, Samantha Testa, Sara Testa and Gina Marie Brady; his sister in law, Joan Ciallelo and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and all his friends at Nurod's Gas Station. He was predeceased by his daughter, Annette Testa on June 8, 1961, one brother, Peter Testa and two sisters, Marie Bravo and Connie Holz
His funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:00 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 9:30 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Alfred Lamanna. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Simon's memory may be made to the Frankfort Fire Department Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
