He was at one time employed by the US Army Depot, Scotia.
Harold loved the outdoors where he spent most of his daylight hours. He loved to work the land, hunt both birds and deer, logging and especially enjoyed tractor pulls. During the Herkimer County Fair, he loved to participate in the tractor pull contest. He was a loving husband, father grandfather and friend. A gentle but strong man whose word and handshake were his bond.
