Mrs. Mary Malinchak
Little Falls - Mrs. Mary Malinchak, 90, of Formerly of Rd 1 Little Falls passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2006 in Valley Health Services.
She was born in Herkimer on August 26, 1915, the daughter of the late Wasyl and Eva Bundyk Nasypany and she attended Herkimer schools. She was married to Andrew Malinchak on June 11, 1949 in St. Mary´s Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Mr. Malinchak passed away on March 26, 1997. Mrs. Malinchak was employed as an Assembler for National Automotive Fibers, Little Falls until her retirement in 1952. Mr & Mrs Malinchak were the owners and operators of the family farm, Mally-Dale Farm, Little Falls for many years. She was a Communicant of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church and a member of it's Sisterhood.
Mary is survived by three brothers & sisters in law, Paul & Frances Nasypany of E. Herkimer, Joseph & Phyllis Nasypany of Royal Oak, MI and Ray & Shuivaun Nasypany of TX; two sisters & brothers in law, Jennie & Martin Mayton of Mohawk and Emily & Vaughn Mc Pherson of Central Square; her in laws, Helen Nasypany, Patricia Nasypany, Beatrice Naspany, Nancy & Manfred Florian and Mae Malinchak and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sons, Michael Malinchak and Nicholas Malinchak and four brothers, Corp. Michael Nasypany USMC KIA Guam, Peter Nasypany, George Nasypany and John Nasypany.
Her funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:00 from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 1:30 in St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Mykhaylo Hontaruk, officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Ukranian Orthodox Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday 2-4 & 6-8 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home. Parastas will be held Saturday evening at 8:00 at the funeral home with Fr. Hontaruk, officiating.
Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church Fund or the Mohawk Homestead. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Mary´s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Mohawk Homestead and Valley Health Care for the loving and compassionate care shown to her during her stay and passing.
