Mr. Bernard J. White Frankfort - Mr. Bernard J. White, 77, of 409 Second Ave Ext formerly of SE Palm Bay, FL passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2006 in St. Luke´s Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Herkimer on September 2, 1928, the son of the late Francis E. and Bessie R. Wilder White. He attended Mohawk schools and graduated from Mohawk High School. While in high school he was a very active member of their football team. Bernie served with the US Army as a Corporal with the Military Police 168th Co. and was Honorably Discharged in 1954. He was married to Theresa Angelotti on May 19, 1951 in St. Anthony´s Church, Herkimer. Theresa passed away on April 19, 1982. He was later married to Josephine Mondo Fetterly on September 24, 1988 in St. Agnes Church, Utica. Josephine passed away on April 2, 2005. He was at one time employed by General Electric, Utica in the Production Control Deapartment and later in the Maintanence Department for Herkimer County Community College, Herkimer until his retirement in July 1988. He was a Communicant of Sts. Anthony And Joseph Church and a member American Legion Post #25 Mohawk, Greater Palm Bay Senior Citizens and the AARP. Bernard is survived by one daughter & son in law, Kathleen & Joseph Sarafin with whom he resided in Frankfort; one son & daughter in law, Joseph & Erin White of Herkimer; his grandchildren, Michelle Sarafin, Julie Sarafin, Kelsey White, Brennan White; five step sons & daughters in law, Charles & Sharon Fetterly and Richard & Pietrina Fetterly all of Palm Bay, FL, Ret Sgt F C Howard & Josephine Fetterly of Frankfort, Gerald & Florene Fetterly of W. Frankfort and Donald & Martha Fetterly of Whitesboro; his step grandchildren Richard Mineo, Robert Perry; Charles Fetterly II, Eric Fetterly, Erika Fetterly, Renee Fetterly, Howard Fetterly II, Rosemary Fetterly, Gerald Fetterly II, Brian Fetterly, Christopher Fetterly; one great grandchild, Charles Fetterly III; three sisters & two brothers in law, Ellen & Charles Lowell of E. Herkimer, Marie Ray of Ilion and Betty & John Rathbun of Ilion; one brother & sister in law, John & Joanne White of Melborne Beach, FL; three sisters in law, Mary Angelotti and Jennie Mondo both of Herkimer and Jean White of Mohawk; one brother in law, Earl Eysaman of Ilion and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Nancy Eysaman and Frances Bunn and two brothers, Robert White and Charles J. White. His funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 11:00 in Sts. Anthony And Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery with full Military Honors. Calling hours Friday will be 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
