Mr. Dominick G. Vallone Frankfort - Mr. Dominick G. Vallone, 87, of 228 Mann St passed away Saturday, November 26, 2005 in Sitrin Health Care Center. He was born in Frankfort on May 11, 1918, the son of the late Anthony and Nettie Senese Vallone and he attended Frankfort schools. He was married to Mary Raiello on June 5, 1943 in St. Joseph´s Church, Little Falls. Mr. Vallone was an assembler for Univac in both the Ilion & Utica Plants and later employed by Fredericks, Utica until his retirement in 1986. He was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church and a member of the International Association Of Machinists. Dominick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. His children were first and foremost in his life. He loved the outdoors and especillay mowing the lawn and snowblowing the driveway. Following his retirement, Dominick loved to take walks in Frankfort and enjoyed stopping, visiting or just to give a smile and a wave to all who knew him. Dominick is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Vallone; one son & daughter in law, Dominick & Antoinette Vallone of Watertown; four daughters & three sons in law, Marie & William Hughes of Canyon, TX, Barbara & James Shannon of Frankfort, Clemmie & Salvatore Vivacqua of Frankfort and Linda Oyer & her companion, Scott of New Hartford; his grandchildren, Matthew Vallone, Valerie Vallone and Donna & her husband, Mark Jones; his great granddaughter, Lauryn Jones; a special nephew, Thomas Vallone of Frankfort, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Vito Vallone and two sister, Catherine Carrie Bono and Madeline Dolly Vallone. His funeral will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 11:30 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas, pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Dominick´s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Nurses and staff of Charles T. Sitrin Health Facility, especially Mike for the wonderful care shown to him daily and to Nicole and Amanda for being with him during his final hours and passing. Contributions in Dominick's memory may be made to Frankfort Volunteer Fire Department or Charles T. Sitrin Health Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
