Dear Carol, Sal & Anne: We're so sorry to hear about Sal Sr. When it happens so unexpectantly it is hard on those left behind. Please take comfort in the fact that he was doing the one thing in life that had brought him so much joy and happy memories over the years. He did not suffer very long and he will always be in your hearts and you will always have the memories of times spent together to reflect back on. We are really sorry we can't be with you right now but we will be coming home on Sunday and will be over when we get back. Dear Mrs. Acquaviva and Family: You probably won't recognize my name. I don't know of any reason Sal would mention me. I first met Sal in the mid 1950's when I was a pin-boy at the Herkimer Bowling Center. He would have been 24 or 25 then. Over the years our paths crossed many times. The last being several months ago at the State Bowling Center when he was practicing. I always knew him as a gentleman and a good man. I won't come to the calling hours because I want to remember him as I last saw him-Bowling. My deepest sympathies.May he rest in peace.
