Mrs. Jennie B. Pizzo
Mohawk - Mrs. Jennie B. Pizzo, 91, formerly of Brookside Dr, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2005 in Valley Health Services.
She was born on September 4, 1914, in Frankfort, the daughter of the late John and Josephine Micciche Bommarito and attended Frankfort schools. Jennie was married to Peter Pizzo, Sr on June 23, 1934 in St. Mary´s Church, Frankfort. Mr. Pizzo passed away on August 26, 1969.
Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was employed as an assembler for Remington Arms, Ilion for many years. She was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church and a member American Legion Post Aux. Unit #30, Albany, Ga.
Jennie is survived by her two sons and daughters in law, John and Brenda Pizzo Sr. of Albany, GA and Francis and Mary Pizzo of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren and their spouses, Nicki and Thomas Bailey, John and Polly Pizzo Jr., Michele and Warren Mc Cann, Jodi Rae Pizzo, Christine Pizzo, and Francis and Joanne Pizzo Jr.; her great grandchildren, Kyle Everson, Heather Johnson, Dalton Mc Cann, Joseph Pizzo, Brandon and Terri Cook, Sarah Burke-Pizzo, Sonny Pizzo and Alessandra Pizzo; her great great granddaughter, Olivia Cook and former daughter-in-law, Lorraine Verdura. She was predeceased by her son, Peter Pizzo Jr on January 12, 1978, her brothers, Bennie Bommarito and Charles Bommarito, her sister, Marion Bond.
Her funeral will be held 1:00PM, Tuesday from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 1:30 PM in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 4-7 at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
