Mrs. Rose Thurston Frankfort - Rose Thurston, 79, formerly of W. Main Street, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2005 in Loretto Utica Center. She was born on October 26, 1925, in Frankfort, the daughter of the late Leo and Julia Terras Thurston. Rose was a graduate of Frankfort High School and St. Elizabeth Medical Center, School of Nursing. For many years, she was employed as a registered nurse for the local hospitals and at one time for the New York City Hospital. Rose also traveled to Africa for a year where she also offered her services. Rose is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Vera and Frank Matuszak of Arcadia, CA; three nephews and four great nephews, all of California and Oregon and several cousins. Her funeral will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will be made in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. There are no calling hours. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave, Frankfort.
