Obituary of Patsy J. Gelose

Mr. Patsy J. Gelose Frankfort-Utica - Mr. Patsy J. Gelose, 82, of 430 Cypress St., Utica formerly of Frankfort passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2005 peacefully in his home. He was born in Frankfort on August 13, 1923, the son of the late James and Sophie Licata Gelose and attended Frankfort schools. Pat served with the US Army Air Corps during World War II in the European Theater. He was married to Rose Sharrino on July 3, 1948 in St. Mary´s Church, Frankfort. Mrs. Gelose passed away on August 1, 1988. Mr. Gelose was a supervisor for Chicago Pneumatic, Utica until his retirement in 1985 after 32 years of dedicated service. He was a member of American Legion Post #845, Frankfort, V.F.W Post #502, Frankfort - Ilion and a Past President of the Frankfort Youth Association. Pat is survived by one daughter & son in law, Phyllis & Gary Scialdo of Frankfort; one son & daughter in law, James & Janet Gelose of Frankfort; his very special friend, Terry Kaczmarek of Utica; two brothers & one sister in law, James Gelose of Herkimer and Samuel & Angie Gelose of Whitesboro; one sister & brother in law, Mary & Francis Chirico of Utica; his grandchildren, Corey & his wife, Heather Scialdo, Tammi Scialdo and Patrick Gelose; two great grandchildren, Dominick Scialdo and Demi Scialdo and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Veta Thurston on May 14, 2004. His funeral will be at the convienence of the family. His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort. There will be no public calling hours.
