Obituary of Angelo J. Reina

Frankfort - Mr. Angelo Reina, 89, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 in his home.
He was born in Frankfort on January 20, 1926, the son of the late Frank and Sophie Bono Reina. He attended Frankfort schools, graduating with the class of 1943 where he excelled in academics and athletics. Angelo proudly served with the US Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater and was Honorably Discharged on March 3, 1946. On January 14, 1945, Angelo married his high school sweetheart, Frances Skowron in Sts. Peter & Paul Church, Frankfort. Angelo received his degree in Business Administration from Utica College. He was employed as a purchasing agent for General Electric for many years. Angelo served as a founding father for the Frankfort Youth Association. He was a member of the American Legion Post 845 and past president of the FSCS Board of Education. Angelo was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church.
Angelo leaves behind his beloved wife of 70 years, Frances; his four children and their spouses, Cindy and Jon Loiacano, Francis and Diane Reina, Richard and Crystal Reina and Nancy Reina; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, his in-laws, Steve and Jane Jaskowiak, Eleanor Tamburro, Lucy Reina and Marion Skowron along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister and brother in law, Mamie and Dominick Lille; his brothers and sisters in law Frank and Muriel Reina, Sam and Virginia Reina and Joseph Reina and his in-laws, Steve Skowron, Frank and Nell Majewicz, Walter and Gloria Skowron.
His funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-8 in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Angelo's memory may be made to Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, 412 S. Frankfort St. Frankfort, NY 13340 or to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd. New Hartford, NY 13413. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
