Mr. Joseph F. Barberio Frankfort - Mr. Joseph F. Barberio, 56, of 218 Sixth Ave passed away Saturday, July 2, 2005 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Utica on March 7, 1949, the son of Dominick and Mary Paratore Barberio he attended Washington Mills and later Herkimer Schools. He was one of the first residents of the Herkimer ARC. Mr. Barberio was employed at the Gail Brown Center's Day Treatment Care, Herkimer for many years. He was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church. Joey was a very special man, he was loved by all and he loved everyone. Joey is survived by his beloved mother, Mary; one brother & sister in law, Francis & Lu Ann Barberio of Frankfort; three nieces, Dina Barberio, Danielle Barberio and Dominique Barberio; his aunts & uncles, Julia & Steve Eskoff, Theresa Harris, George "Shank" Green, Frank & Betty Paratore and Peter & Bonnie Paratore; his special friends, Denise Brown and Alex Palumbo and several cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Dominick Barberio on July 6, 1974. His funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 9:15 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Joey´s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Faxton-St. Luke´s Hospital and the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home for the wonderful care and compassion shown to him during his illness and passing.
