Mrs. Mary A. Pasachnik
Littleton, Co.- Herkimer - Mrs. Mary A. Pasachnik, 83, of 7864 S. Hill Drive, Littleton, CO formerly of Pleasant Ave., Herkimer passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2005 in Littleton Hospital.
She was born in Cullen, NY on May 15, 1922, the daughter of the late Konstantin and Zenowia Kowalczik. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1940. She was married to Joseph F. Pasachnik on July 31, 1948 in First United Methodist Church. Mr. Pasachnik passed away on October 27, 1996. Mrs. Pasachnik was employed as a Presser for Derby Sportswear and later as an Assembler for Remington Arms, Ilion until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Herkimer.
Mary is survived by one daughter & son in law, Patricia & Charles Diehl, Littleton, Co.; two brothers & sisters in law, Peter & Julia Kowalczik of Herkimer and Joseph & Jean Kowalczik of E. Herkimer; two grandsons, Capt. David & his wife, Nicole Diehl USAF of Travis AFB and 2nd Lt Matthew Diehl, USAF of Vandenburg AFB; her cherished great granddaughter, Paige Diehl; her in laws, Michael & Helen Pasachnik and Steve & Helen Pasachnik; her close friends, Alice Nalaskowski and Connie Bernhardt both of Herkimer and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Michael Kowalczik in 1998, John Kowalczik in 1983 and William Kowalczik in 1929.
Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 am at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer with the Rev. Wrightson Tongue, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Herkimer officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Friday, June 24, 2005 from 5-8 pm at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
Mary's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Richard Mc Mahon and his wonderful staff and Rocky Mountain Cancer Center, Littleton, Co. for their excellent care and compassion shown to her during her illness and passing.
Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center, 22 West Dry Creek Circle, Littleton, Co. 80120. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
