Mrs. Stephanie Fanny Zito Tamburro Frankfort - Mrs. Stephanie Fanny Zito Tamburro, 90, of 309 S. Litchfield St. passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2005 in St. Joseph's Nursing Home. She was born in Utica on March 10, 1915, the daughter of the late Rosario and Rose Graziano Spina and she attended Utica schools. Fanny was married to Jack Zito September 10, 1938 in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Utica. Mr. Zito pased away on January 6, 1950. She was later married to Dominick Tamburro on April 12, 1958 in St. Anges Church, Utica. Mr. Tamburro passed away on August 14, 1986 Mrs. Tamburro was employed by General Electric, Utica for many years until her retirement in 1972. She was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church and a member of Friends of Frankfort Library, theYoung at Heart Senior Citizens and a former East Side Senior Citizens, E. Utica. Stephanie will be remembered by her family and friends for her warmth, her smile her humility and her love of family. Fanny was a devout Catholic and had an unending devotion to the Blessed Mother and believed in the power of the Rosary. Stephanie is survived by one son & daughter in law, Salvatore "Sam" & Virginia Zito of Ilion; one daughter, Victoria Talarico of Frankfort; her step son, Joe Tamburro of Frankfort; one brother: Nino Spina of Utica; her grandchidren Gina & her husband, Brian Janis;, Jackie & her husband, Mark Hoffman; Kristin & her husband, Chong Ki Kim and Richard Talarico; her great grandchildren, Max Janis, Ryan Richard Janis, Christopher Janis, Jenna Hoffman and Luke Hoffman and several inlaws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son in law, Richard Talarico on October 14, 2003, her great grandson, Joshua Janis on October 3, 2003, two sisters, Isabelle Spina in 1920 and Rosalie Sarmiz in 1958. Her funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:15 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 11:00 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday, May 26, 2005 from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of theYoung at Heart Senior Citizens will meet Thursday afternoon at 4:15 at the funeral home for services. Fanny's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Administration, Sisters, Nurses and Staff of St. Joseph's Nursing Home especially the 4th Floor for the wonderful care and kindness shown to her during her stay and passing.
