Ms. Mary Ann Butera Frankfort - Ms. Mary Ann Butera, 62, of 105 Second Ave passed away Monday, April 18, 2005 in St. Luke´s Memorial Hospital. She was born in Frankfort on July 20, 1942, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Farouche Di Leo. Mary Ann attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort-Schuyler High School with the class of 1960. Ms. Butera was the Postmaster for U S Post Office, Frankfort office for many years until her retirement in 1999. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church and a member of the National League of Post Masters and served as President for several terms and served with the United Way. Mary Ann is survived by two sons and one daughter in law, Anthony Butera and his fiancee, Diane Hapanowicz of Utica and Joseph & Tammy Butera of Frankfort; one sister & brother in law, Carmelita & Steve Sawicki of Rome; her cherished grandson, Joseph Butera, the twinkle in her eye; her nephew, Steve & his wife, Lana Sawicki of Clay; her niece, Rosemarie Sawicki of ID and several cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Frank Di Leo on July 30, 1937. Her funeral will be held Friday morning at 9:00 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 9:30 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Alfred Lamanna, Pastor Emeritus. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday evening from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of floral offerings, contributions in Mary Ann's memory may be made to Frankfort Volunteer Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
