Obituary of Lucy Rose Chuff

Mrs. Lucy Rose Chuff Frankfort - Mrs. Lucy Rose Chuff, 87, of 606 Palmer St passed away Monday, April 18, 2005 in Valley Health Services. She was born in Oriskany Falls on May 16, 1917, the daughter of the late Eugene and Isabelle Blair Boyer and she attended she attended St. Francis De Sales School, Herkimer. She was married to Dominick Ming Chuff in 1936 in St Mary´s Church, Frankfort. Mr. Chuff passed away on April 26, 1977. Mrs. Chuff was employed for General Electric, Bleeker St plant for over 20 years and was later employed by ICL until her retirement in 1981. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church and a member of the AARP. Lucy is survived by one son, Philip Chuff of Frankfort; one daughter, Rose Marie Alsante of Ilion; one brother & sister in law, Arthur & Eileen Boyer of Rochester; four sisters and two brothers in law, Victoria & John Becker of Ilion, June Smithson of Mohawk, Geraldine & David Valasek of Herkimer and Leonna Comes of Ilion; her grandchildren, Robert, Rebecca, Taunie, Tammy, Yvonne, Jared, Deborah, Donna, Dawn and Jerome seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Chuff in 1978, her son in law, Jerome Alsante; one brother, John Boyer and four sisters, Mary Keeler, Virginia Catalina, Lillian Gutramon and Gladys Godeau. Her funeral will be held Friday morning at 11:00 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 11:30 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 4-7 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
