Mrs. Rose M. Corriggio
Frankfort - Mrs. Rose M. Corriggio, 92, of 403 Litchfield St passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2005 in Folts Home.
She was born in Frankfort on February 26, 1913, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine Fugiuini Lilli and attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Anthony Corriggio on April 23, 1938 in St. Mary´s Church, Frankfort, a blessed union of over 66 years. Mrs. Corriggio was employed by Derby Sportswear, Herkimer until her retirement in 1975 after 25 years of dedicated service. She was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church and a member International Ladies Garment Workers Union, St. Francis Di Paolo Society Aux. and the Young At Heart Senior Citizens. She was a former member of the Altar Rosary Society of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church.
Rose is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony Corriggio; one son & daughter in law, Carl & Joyce Corriggio of Aberdeen, MD; one son in law, Joseph Zogby of Utica; her sisters in law, Adeline Lilli and Julia Lilli, both of Frankfort and Teresa Corriggio of Wellington, OH; one brother in law, John Attanas of Skaneateles; her beloved grandchildren, Joseph Zogby, Susan & her husband, Anthony Salerno, Anthony Corriggio, Michael Corriggio, Lisa & her husband, Paul Carlotta; three great grandchildren, Nikolas Salerno, Mia Carlotta and Gianni Carlotta and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Carmella Zogby on December 16, 2003; three brothers, James Lilli, Joseph Lilli and Dominick Lilli and three sisters, Mary Attanas, Frances Kattato and Josephine Daley.
Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 AM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Friday from 5-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens and the ILGWU will meet Friday evening at 6:00 at the funeral home for services. In lieu of floral offerings, contributions in Rose's memory may be made to Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Rose's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Folts Home for the excellent and compassionate care shown to her for the last several months. A special thank you to Dr. Paula Vecchio, who thoughtfully provided medical care and guidance to her over the years.
