Mrs. Josephine R. Lasorella Frankfort - Mrs. Josephine R. Lasorella, 83, of 402 S. Litchfield St, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 29, 2005 in St. Luke´s Memorial Hospital. She was born in Frankfort on July 8, 1921, the daughter of the late Carl and Rose Sapienza Sgroi. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort High School with the class of 1939. Josephine was married to Patsy Lasorella on September 19, 1942 in St. Mary´s Church. Mr. Lasorella passed away on November 3, 1989 Mrs. Lasorella was employed by Univac, Utica Plant for many years until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of Mt. Zion Ministries. Josephine is survived by one son & daughter in law, Patsy & Judi Lasorella of Herkimer; one daughter & son in law, Suzanne & Joseph Annese of Frankfort; her granddaughters, Lisa Yule, Andrea Lasorella & her fiancee, Luke Michael, Julianne Lasorella and Monica Lasorella; two great grandsons, Jack Lasorella and Kyle Ennis; her sisters in law, Rose Lasorella of Herkimer and Josephine Sgroi Cotellese of Las Vegas, NV and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Carl Sgroi. Her funeral will be held Friday evening at 8:00 PM in the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with Pastor Michael Hughes of Mt. Zion Ministries officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Friday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of floral offerings, contributions in Josephine's memory may be made to the Senior Network. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Josephine´s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Cindy Malkewsky of Senior Network, the staff at Little Falls Hospital Dialysis Unit, Dr. Tisch, Dr. Aldrich, Dr. Fred Talarico, nurses and staff of the Allen Calder Wing especially Denise Thompson and the nurses of St. Luke´s Memorial Hospital´s CCU´s for the wonderful compassionate care and kindness shown to her during her illness and passing. To Pastor Michael & Barbara Servello and Pastor Michael Hughes for the words of encouragement and support given to them and Josephine during her illness.
