Mr. Martin Cibulka
Herkimer - Mr. Martin P. Cibulka, 75, of 208 E. Steele St passed away Friday, January 21, 2005 in Little Falls Hospital.
He was born in Little Falls on March 6, 1929, the son of the late George and Suzanne Cibulka and attended schools there. He served with the US Army from February 20, 1947 with the Occupation Force in Germany with the 516 th Airborne Infantry Regiment and was Honorably Dscharged on September 18, 1951. He was married to Florence Kaczenoski on November 26, 1952 in St. Joseph´s Church. Mrs. Cibulka passed away on July 23, 1988. he was at one time employed by Univac in both the Ilion & Utica plants. Mr. Cibulka was later employed by Library Bureau, Herkimer until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of Polish Community Home.
Martin is survived by one daughter & son in law, Carol & Robert Shaver of E. Herkimer; his grandson, Robert E Shaver II; one sister & brother in law, Sue & Stanley Zalocka of Frankfort; in laws, Morgan Carrig, Charles Petrie and Edna Kosinski and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Cibulka and George Cibulka and four sisters, Anne Carrig, Katherine Gnidica, Betty Petrie and Mary Cibulka
His funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer with Father Anthony Ligato, Officiating. Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-8 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
Contributions in Martin's memory may be made to Herkimer County Office Of The Aging Meals On Wheels. Envelopes will be available at the fuenral home.
