Frankfort - Mrs. Antoinette R. Pianella, 93, of S. Frankfort St. passed away, Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Frankfort on January 22, 1923, the daughter of the late Michael and Antoinette Giradano Pelose and she attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort High School with the class of 1941. She was married to Samuel T. Pianella on November 8, 1947 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. They shared a blessed union for many years, Samuel passed away on December 15, 1984. Antoinette was employed as an Assembler for Remington Rand in Ilion for many years and was at one time employed with Univac. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort; a member of the Addolorata Society, the St. Francis Di Paolo Society Auxiliary and the Young at Heart Senior Citizens. Antoinette is survived by two sons and one daughter in law, Nicholas Pianella and Peter and Cindy Pianella, all of Frankfort; two daughters and sons in law, Frances and Joseph Guerino of Frankfort and Michele and Steve Malecki of Whitesboro; eight beloved grandchildren, Marc Guerino and his wife, Lara, Hetty and her husband, Jeremy Frye, Litty and her husband, Nick Chapman, Paul Guerino, Krystina Fernandez, Matthew Malecki, Jennifer Malecki, Deanna Pianella and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Fred Pelose and James Pelose and two sisters, Anne Conigliaro and Mary Romano. Her funeral will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 9:45 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 4-7 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young at Heart Seniors will meet Friday evening at 4:15 PM for services. Members of the Addolorata will meet at 7:00 PM for services. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Antoinette's memory may be made to the Frankfort Fire Department, 158 S. Litchfield St. Frankfort, NY 13340. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
