Mr. Michael Anthony Mohawk - Mr. Michael Anthony, 82, of 101 Columbia St passed away peacefully Friday, December 31, 2004 in his home. He was born in Jordanville on November 16, 1922, the son of the late Harry and Tekla Mikovich Anthony, attended local schools and graduated from Owen D. Young High School with the Class of 1942. He served during World War II with the US Navy in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater aboard the USS LCI and was Honorably Discharged on April 3, 1946. He was married to Mary Jane Mariette Marineau on June 7, 1958 in Blessed Sacrament Church. Mrs. Anthony passed away on February 28, 1998. Mr. Anthony was at one time employed by Univac, Ilion plant and later as a Supervisor for M D S, Herkimer for 20 years until his retirement in 1984. He was a Communicant of Blessed Sacrament and a member of American Legion Post #25, Mohawk. Michael is survived by two sons & daughters in law, Daniel F. & Kathleen Anthony of Frankfort and David P. & Josephine Anthony of La Fayette; one daughter & son in law, Debra & Thomas North of Binghamton; his sister in law, Ann Anthony of Mohawk; his brother in law, Claude Marineau of Mohawk; four grandchildren, Marley Helen North, Ryan Anthony, Zachary Anthony and Gianna Anthony and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Anthony on November 26, 2004 and PFC Frank Anthony US Army KIA July 3, 1944 and one sister, Anne Dziedic n November 25, 1998. His funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 11:15 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 12:00 PM in Blessed Sacrament where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Mark Cunningham. Interment will be in Mohawk Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-8 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home. Members of the American Legion will meet Monday evening at 7:30 at the funeral home for services.
