Mrs. Victoria Stanejow
Herkimer - Mrs. Victoria Stanejow, 83, of 104 Willis Ave passed away Monday, December 6, 2004 in Little Falls Hospital.
She was born in Czerniejowia, Poland on July 7, 1921, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ann Piotrowska and she attended schools there and graduated from the local high school. Victoria resided in Germany from 1941 until her liberation in 1945. She was married to Nicholas Stanejow on June 17, 1945 in Germany. Mr. Stanejow passed away on April 6, 1989. Following the war, the family emmigrated to Brazil and came to the United States in 1958 and settled in Herkimer. Mrs. Stanejow was employed as a Floor Lady for Joy Taylor Dress Shop, Mohawk for many years until her retirement in 1983. She was a Communicant of Sts. Anthony And Joseph Church and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and the Herkimer Senior Citizens.
Victoria is survived by her beloved daughter & son in law, Stella & Ronald Healey of Ilion; two granddaughters, Patti & Her Husband, Jeff Kinville and Sandy & Her Husband, Jeff Moynihan all of Ilion; her great grandchildren, Jessica Kinville, Carissa Moynihan and Evan Moynihan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Nellie Brida and two brothers, Joseph Piotrowska and Stanley Piotrowska.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM in Sts. Anthony And Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, Pastor. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer
