Mr. Paul J. Hosney
Frankfort - Mr. Paul J. Hosney, 95, of Spruce Dr passed away Saturday, October 9, 2004 in Masonic Home.
He was born in Pottsville, PA on June 21, 1909, the son of the late John and Anna Biersh Hosney. The Hosney family came to this area in 1921. Paul attended schools in Pottsville and later the Dutch Hill Country School, Frankfort. He was married to Mayme Corrado on November 29, 1934 in Sts. Peter & Paul´s Church, Frankfort. Mrs. Hosney passed away on June 14, 1995. Paul and Mayme were the owners and operators of Corrado´s Feed Mill, Herkimer & Frankfort for over 50 years until their retirement in 1978. He was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church and a member of the Ilion Knights Of Columbus Council as a Third Degree Knight & a life member of Ilion Elks BPOE Lodge #1444. He was a former member of the Frankfort Fish & Game Club, Frankfort Chamber of Commerce and the Buck Horn Hunting Club.
Paul is survived by one son & daughter in law, Jon George & Dawn (Emden) Hosney of Frankfort; one daughter, Mary Jo Jepson of Rochester; his grandchildren, Jon Scott & his wife, Amy Hosney, Maria & her husband, Jeff Engelbrecht, Franklin Paul Jepson and Paula Nicole Jepson; three great grandchildren, Jarrett Engelbrecht, Katelyn Engelbrecht and Jon Paul Hosney; his special caregiver, Arlene Oyer of Frankfort and several neices, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by four sisters, Anna Myers, Helen Anderson, Infant Mary Hosney and Infant Ann Hosney and two brothers, Infant Andrew Hosney and Infant John Hosney.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday morning, October 12, 2004 at 11:30 AM in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St., Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas, Pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
Paul´s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Parker and the nurses and staff of the Masonic Home´s Albany Neighborhood, for the wonderful care and kindness shown to him during his illness and passing.
His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort
