Ronda was a beautiful woman. My name is Ryan Schmandt and I am the secretary of the MVCC Drama Club. Ronda supported our club last April by coming to the play Revenge of the Space Pandas. I was introduced to her by a close friend, and any time we saw each other, she was always very kind to me and it really meant a lot that she came out to see that show. Fast forward to May, the MVCC Drama Club took a trip to New York City and saw Avenue Q. It was a pleasure having her join us, and every time I saw her after that trip, she reminded me about how much fun she had on that trip. I heard in mid December that she had been diagnosed with this awful disease we call cancer and I was heartbroken. Such a beautiful woman didn't deserve this. I got news on Tuesday that Ronda had passed away. That broke my heart. I can't imagine the sorrow that you and your family are going through. The mutual friend who introduced me to Ronda came into our Drama Club meeting today and said that in that New York City Trip in May 2014, we helped Ronda achieve two things on her bucket list (Going to NYC and going to see a show on Broadway). Knowing that our club was able to help her achieve these goals means the world to myself and the other members of the club. Something that I was never able to tell Ronda is that she made a difference in every life that she touched. She was such a wonderful woman, so happy, kind to everyone. She would do anything to help someone, whether she knew them or not. She is going to be added to the long list of people I do the Relay for Life for every year. I will continue to do so until we find a cure for cancer. So, in closing, I want to thank Ronda, for always being such a bright person and brightening up my day every time I saw you. And thank you to the family of Ronda Valasek for letting us be a part of her life. She will be truly missed, but she will never be forgotten.

I am indeed sorry for your loss. I taught hundreds of students and some stand out above the rest. Ronda was one of those pupils. She was a good student, had a great sense of humor, was very helpful and I remember her fondly. Her mother raised good kids. I'm so glad she was a part of my life.

It's amazing how much an impact on person can have on an entire community. Ronda's dedication to the library and her love of people will leave a giant hole in our little village. We will all miss her and we pray her family finds comfort in the loving memories they share.
Death is but a doorway
To a world we cannot see
Through our faith, we know it's there
It is our destiny
The souls of those we love await
Their lights still brightly shining
For souls are made of energy
Changing form, never dying
