We were so saddened to recently learn of Carol's passing. To Helen, please know that we would have been there to support you and her family, had we known. Our card to you was just returned so we hope you read this post. Carol's effort to be present at our own mother's funeral meant so much to us and brought back so many cherished memories. Reading the other posts, we can see that she continued to touch lives in a positive way long after we lost contact.

Carol, I just heard about your passing. I will always remember how you were such
a positive force in getting my brother and me together, I will always be grateful for
that. You gave me the nieces that first called me "Aunt Rindy" I always thought
that I would never be called that. I am sorry that we lost touch over the last few
years, you will always hold a special place in my heart. I know you will be surely

Aunt Carol where do I start...you were my second mom for so long. Living with you and the million other people we lived with on West Bridge Street make up the majority of my childhood memories. The late Friday nights watching scary movies and trying to eat more than you could cook(which we never could), the trips to the lake, playing outside and having to come running every 5 min when you called "on the count", morning drives to St. Pat's with us all piled into your car, listening to music in the kitchen and singing while you cooked, sneaking junk food with Amanda and spilling red kool aid down the stairs and you thinking someone was hurt. These are just a small sample of all the amazing memories I have of you. I will miss you so much. Thank you for everything you ever did for me and loving me like one of your own.

I have never known Carol, but saw her obituary in the Hudson Register Star. After reading the beautiful obituary, I wish I had known Carol. I have never read a more genuine, heartfelt obituary. I remember Carol always telling Rachael, "If you have to fight, fight. Just don't lose because that's not what we do." Carol surely put up a fight during her battle with cancer, and I don't believe she lost by any means. I believe she's in a better place now, free of pain, watching over all her loved ones as she always has. There will never be enough words to express our appreciation and admiration for all she has done. She wil be truly missed?

I have to say I'm not surprised carol was born on Christmas, she was always a very giving person, if anyone in our family was ever asked if they would rather have Carol or Albert pick out their Christmas gift, they would surely choose Carol. That's not to say that was the only time of the year Carol was giving, she did so many things for her family and her employees everyday. Most of all what she did a great job at was taking excellent care of my uncle by being his wife, best friend, and partner.

I spent a great deal of my high school years in Carol's home in Catskill. She was a very strong woman who loved her children immensely and I'm glad to have those memories of her.
