Mrs. Hubiak was my second grade teacher. Our class was the first 2nd grade class in Middleville, all others remained in Newport. I don't remember any specific details but do remember her fondly as one of my favorite teachers. She always treated students fairly and compasionately and always kept bullies from interfereing with the more timid students.

I am one of the Kast Bridge kids who probably drove Olga nuts!! I have fond memories of her. I could tell she liked us all even though we were a little afraid of John!! We couldn't wait to go to their house for Halloween! Olga always had the best treats. I am very sorry to see she passed.

Donna, Dan, Sam and family,
I know Aunt Olga meant a lot to you. She was a beautiful woman that
you will miss greatly. Know that Jesus is taking the best care of her now. He will
also take care of you during these times of loss. Remember also that you have
friends like me thinking of you at this time of loss.
I am looking forward to lighting up the night and making music with you
on Osborne Hill road in aunt Olga's memory. We also have to do this on Aunt
Olga's birthday in MAY!
Paul Whitney

I remember so very well going to visit Mrs. Hubiak with my mother-in-law Mary Polivka and my husband Harry. She was such a kind, welcoming person. Even after all these
years, I still remember how much I enjoyed her lovely gardens. Eleanor Polivka, now of Dover, De., but originally from Salisbury Center, N.Y. My sympathy to her family.
