John Piazza Jr. posted a condolence
Thursday, March 22, 2018
I am very sorry to hear of Vic's passing. He was an outstanding musician and a dynamite human being. His family came from the same town in Sicily as my both of my grandmothers. He played football with my uncle Jim with the Frankfort vets too. I remember him telling me a story that made the front page of the sports section. He had applied a white medicine on his face for his acne. I think he ran a long touchdown and the headline referred to him as a Ghost. He was a true gentleman. I was fortunate enough to see him perform with Sal Amico when he would come into town. We would talk about music and Frankfort. He was a big influence. I would like your family to know that we will be dedicating our Jazz performance at the Other Side Utica on Friday May 11 in honor of Vic. He was an important figure in our local jazz scene. He will be sorely missed.
