I was a student of Mr. Rossi at Roosevelt School. Whenever I would run into him I always said hello and he would always remember my name. He called me Bernie. Whenever I saw the Band da Rosa I always looked for him. When he wasn’t playing I would ask someone to tell him I said hello. There are always people in your life that bring back nice memories. He was for me. My deepest condolences for the loss of this fine man and teacher.

The old adage of removing ones hand from a bucket of water leaves no trace is broken with Frank Rossi's passing. There is a hole in the fabric of compassion and love, and one of all the hearts who knew him. Father, son, grand father to a great many teacher, sailor, and musician, all as a whole a wonderful soul. It was and still is a privilege, to share a small part of his life and family which has never lessened overtime. Rest easy shipmate, we have the watch, fair winds always.

Thank you for your kind words. My grandfather was a proud educator and instilled the importance of an education to his entire family. His daughter, Mary, my mother and I both became teachers. There are also other grandchildren who have pursued careers in education. We love to hear stories of grandpa’s time as a teacher and principal.
Thank you again,
Lisa Morgan
