Irene C Wezalis

Ilion - Irene C Wezalis, 93, of Ilion passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in The Grand with her family by her side.

She was born in Herkimer, on March 1, 1929, the daughter of the late Chester and Bertha Adamcyzk Krawczeski. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1946. Irene was a Court Stenographer for Herkimer County Family Court, Herkimer until her retirement in 1989.  She was a communicant of Annunciation Church, Ilion. 

Irene is survived by one son and daughter in law, John and Bonnie Wezalis of Ilion; three daughters and two sons in law, Kristine Wezalis Quigley of Malone NY, Karen Manes and her husband, Jerry of Sarasota FL and Kathy Wezalis Mukhar and her husband, Jack of Folsom CA; her cherished grandchildren, Nicole Quigley Schwartz and her husband, Dan, Jessica Quigley, Valerie Wezalis Dodge and her husband, Jason, Adam Wezalis and Leanne Wezalis Byard and her husband, Scottie. Six Great grandchild - Flynn Schwartz, Sophie Dodge, Nathan Dodge, Joshua Wezalis, Greyson Byard and Brielle Byard and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kelly Marie Quigley in 1980 and two brothers, Norbert Krawczeski and Richard Krawczeski.
  

Her funeral will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the family plot in Calvary Cemetery, West German St, Herkimer. Her funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY.
