Joann M Oriole
Frankfort - Joann M Oriole, 54, of Frankfort passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 after a long battle with cancer at home with her family by her side.
She was born in Utica, New York on January 21, 1969, the daughter of the late Stanley and Beverly Lukaszek Bielicki. She attended at Utica schools and furthered her education at MVCC and later at SUNY Oswego and received her Bachelor's Degree. She was married to Jeffrey Oriole in April of 2000 in Las Vegas. Joann was employed as an Insurance Support Specialist for Bank of America, The Hartford Insurance and most recently Utica National Insurance. Joann was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Cooking for family and friends brought her much joy as well as being an avid “foodie”. Her favorite past times were camping with family on Kayuta Lake and spending time with friends. Her dedication to others, she volunteered with Special Olympics and Utica Boilermaker Road Race for many years.
Joann is survived by her beloved husband, Jeff; one son, Lance Corporal Nicholas Oriole, serving with the USMC, Camp Legune, NC; one daughter, Samantha Oriole of Frankfort; one brother and sister in law, Gary and Linda Bielicki; one sister and brother in law, Patricia and Peter Carchedi; her father-in-law, Victor Oriole; her nieces and nephews, Russell Bielicki, Brian Carchedi and Andrew Miller, Adam Carchedi, Jenna and her husband, Richard Greenwalt and their daughter, Lydia Greenwalt; brother-in-law, Matt Oriole and his daughter, Adelynn Oriole; sister-in-law, Kristen Oriole; her close friends, Karen Beaulieu, Kim Powers and Maria Collea-Anderson and several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Bielicki and her mother in law, Pamela (Allen) Oriole.
Her funeral will be held Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St. Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Spring interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Per Joann’s request there will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort.
Joann’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the caring team at MVHS Cancer Center, Hospice and Palliative Care for their kindness and compassion in her time of need.
