I was Peter's Pledge Master when he was a pledge for Delta Kappa Beta Fraternity at SUNY Cortland, NY.
Peter was a fine human being and a great Fraternity Brother. He was well liked and respected by all of us, and no one had anything but kind things to say about him. I was not at all surprised to read about all his personal and professional accomplishments throughout his life. It was with much sadness that I learned of his passing, and he will be remembered by me always.

Peter was a valued counselor, not just for youth, but for many of us years past our youth!
His wisdom and perspective helped me work with many volunteers and professionals while I served the former Revolutionary Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America. Peter was in line to be the Council President, but his duties in Oneida took precedence. He still remained active and helped us create the Character Days program to help schools strengthen relationships between students as they prepared for middle school.
Visiting Peter in Oneida or visiting with him & Mary Anne at White Lake always led to insightful discussions and fun!
I treasured their friendship and will miss this great friend!

My deepest condolences for the loss of a wonderful man. I served as a teacher under Peter in the Oneida City School District. We would always talk food...mostly Italian. I never got to make my calamari and greens for him. I will think of him fondly whilst I make that dish for my family.
Love and Prayers,
Patty Tedeschi

Peter was an adoptive grandfather to our son’s growing up! He would take many walks over to the business to grab his favorite meals!(lasagna and oatmeal raisin cookies)
Pete always was sharing stories with us at our family business during many lunches with us!
His smile and laughter and hugs are surely going to be missed.
Rest in peace❤️ our friend!

Dear Mary Ann, Nick, Elizabeth, and family,
We were very saddened to learn of Peter's recent passing.
He fought the good fight and is now at peace. We sincerely hope the love you shared will help ease the pain of loss --in time.
I was proud to have him as an innovative and conscientious administrator. He served our district well. His dedication to, and support of, the fine arts and technology in the OCSD was of great benefit to all.
In addition to appreciating his leadership, we valued the friendship we shared with you both. I still have fond memories of having Nick as an art student.
We are keeping you all close in our hearts. Wish we were able to attend the services.
With sincere condolences,
Pam and Dick Lynch

Pete was an extraordinary man. He was so many things to so many people, but to me, he was my dad’s best friend. He was our neighbor; both at home and on the lake. He was effortlessly funny, kind, and was simply one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. I’ll never forget how, as a little kid, I’d go to shake his hand and he’d squeeze the living daylights outta my mine. He singlehandedly taught me how to give a firm, proper handshake. I’ll never in all my life forget him.
his absence will be sorely felt, and he will be greatly missed.

Pete was and is a dear friend of my father and our whole family. Growing up Pete gave me my first job mowing his lawn and our family our first vacation in the Adirondacks. Pete’s dedication to his family and to public education was something to be admired and inspired by. My deepest condolences to Mary Anne, Nick and his family. May light perpetual shine upon him and may he dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
