Tonya Dawn Logan “mom” I can’t even begin to start to describe how selfless you are. You took me into your home so many times when I would be upset with my dad or I’d be going through it. You took me as your own child when I wasn’t. You took my children as your grandbabies when they weren’t. You taught me that love doesn’t have to come from blood. From inviting me for holidays to just coming and scooping us up when we needed out. In your obituary my memory of you that was my favorite was of how much you knew me and my pregnancy with my youngest, Brielle but, I remember now you were there just as much for my pregnancy with Vivienne. From making me to go the hospital when I couldn’t feel her moving to letting us stay with you when she was just a baby. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I appreciate the love you showed me when my actual family treated me differently and left me out. It’s like you were my real mom but I can’t take that from your other blood children who cherished you even more but I can say you were my mother by heart and this one hit different as you were my only mother figure left and now I don’t have that anymore. We talked 11 days before you took your last breath and that just don’t hit me right. I was telling you they had you waiting way too long for a drs appointment and then bam you were sick in the hospital. But bet your butt I made it there with my sisters to see you as soon we found out. I just want you to send me one of your funny memes one more time. I’m so glad your children (my siblings) let me be there with them for you every step of the way. They went to go talk with the doctor and I was with you alone for a good 20-30 minutes and I was holding and kissing your hand as you stared right at me. I was crying telling you thank you for being that mother figure to me especially even more after my step mom passed in 2021 and as you looked me in my eyes you squeezed my hand. Multiple times you looked over at me when I’d move so Sherrie Sam and Ericka would take turns holding your hand and talking to you. I know you heard Juju, Vivi, & Bri telling you in a voice message they loved and missed you. & I showed you their pictures from trunk or treat at their school! I know you enjoyed seeing them! The last time you seen and spoke to them before that was on video chat a day before you went into the hospital. Thank you Sherrie, Sam, and Ericka for letting me be there for you guys. For not minding my supporting you guys through this tough time and for involving me in everything it meant so much. I’m so sad your gone mom it still doesn’t feel real. I just keep thinking you’ll message me anytime now. I love you mom. Rest easy.

The day after mom’s passing I was trying to make a customized necklace for her ashes so I can keep her close to me .. well I was trying to use a certain photo (of us in the hospital) and for some reason it kept acting weird and not letting me do what I needed to do with it .. I kept trying and trying and it kept freezing and freezing until it eventually turned BLACK. That was mom. That was her way to tell me she meant what she said when she said “ NOOO” lol

The day you touched my belly. ❤️ That day I asked Sherrie if it would be dumb if I put moms hand on my belly to take a picture and she said no I think that would be cute. ❤️ But going to see all the IVs you had I was so scared to move you around cause I was afraid to accidentally hurt you. So as I was talking to your mom, my nana on the phone you reached your hand up to rub my belly. We were so shocked and happy that we both cried. That’s my best and most favorite memory of us mom. The last day I held your hand.
We walked into the room this day and I was suprised to have seen your eyes open.. I was so happy & could barely contain myself. I was finally able to see your beautiful blue eyes, that I’d longed to see for such a long time.
I remember walking in and grabbing your hand and telling you how proud I was of you and how much I’ve missed you.. I grabbed your hand and I kissed it.
From that point I sat beside your bedside, giving your hands a million kisses , and rubbing your hands on against my cheek.
I painted your nails .. because as I told you jokingly “Girl we can’t have you out here looking crazy” .. you lifted your hand for me , placed it down and you allowed me to. I talked to you about the kids .. showed you pictures and videos .. I know you couldn’t express much emotion but I knew that you were so happy.
At times I’d give the other girls a chance to hold your hand too .. and as I stepped away, your eyes would follow me around the room .. you’d look for me and for my voice when I spoke ..
Sammy said to you “mom do you want to hold Sherries hand?” And you squeezed her hand which was your way of saying “yes” . I came back over to you and we played your favorite songs and I continued to let you know how strong you were and how much I loved you and always have .. at one point I said to you “mom you know I love you right ? Do you love me too? Do you forgive me for being upset with you prior to this and us not talking ? I asked you for each question to blink yes .. and you did . I cried because no matter what we went through , I have always loved you and no matter what , nothing would’ve have changed that.
I really needed to see that.. ever since you’ve left , those last moments are what has given me some comfort and peace during this hard time.
I love you mom .. always and forever .

The day I gave birth to Karielys 2022. My mom was with me until the end and made sure we both were in good health. She was a wonderful grandmother & very supportive of me during my births ❤️

I remember Tonya and I were sitting outside on Stark st just laughing and having a good time we sat there until 5am not realizing the time she could always make me laugh such a wonderful soul she is truly going to be missed rest in Paradise my friend till we meet again

One of my favorite memories of my sister and I happened when I was almost 2 and she was just a baby. Our mom had laid her down on the couch and covered the floor with pillows so she could go to the restroom. I had been begging to hold my new little sissy and couldn’t wait any longer. So I pulled her off the couch onto the pile of pillows and of course she started crying. Our mom came running in and I was say oh my sissy. I loved her then and loved her more as time moved forward. I will miss her every day.

My favorite memory of Tonya was when she was about 5 years old. I was dating her uncle Sammy. He came to pick me up from work to take me to lunch and he brought Tonya and her sister Denise with him. Tonya and Denise picked some flowers and gave them to me. I kept those flowers until they died.
