Sunday December 3, 2023 was no ordinary day. It was the final fishing day in a lifetime full of fishing days. Captain Jim Ocuto was at the helm of his beloved boat “Don’t Call Me Rose” affectionately named after his mother. The wind was calm, the seas were like glass and the yellowtail snapper were biting. We fished together, had lunch together and had a cold beer together. Little did any of us know it would be our last fishing trip together.
My friend rest well and hopefully someday we’ll meet again. I have been blessed to be your friend.

The City of Rome and myself were always great partners with Jimmy "Vinny" Ocuto and Aliance Paving Materials. Jim was a mentor to me when I started this career 35 years ago. He will be missed by many! May he rest in peace and the family be comforted by all of Jimmy's friends and colleagues.
Your friend Joe Guiliano

Jim, Mr Ocuto, was a good man who was good to me. I have shared holidays at he and Carol’s home and was always welcomed as family. I will truly miss this man. He will live on in the hearts of those who love him, myself included.
God bless his family and carry them through this difficult time.
