Dear Diane, I was a classmate of Frank's at Hope College. There we were classmates, Fraternity brothers and football teammates. Besides being such a warm and friendly guy whom everyone who knew him at Hope College liked and admired he was perhaps one of Hope 's finest football players. He was an outstanding running back who scored 11 touchdowns our sophomore year and was instrumental in Hope College being MIAA league champions that same year, his personality, character and skills on the football field left a significant mark on Hope College sports history. We were very saddened to hear about Uncle Frank's passing. We loved and adored Uncle Frank. Our family gatherings were always fun with Uncle Frank sharing his jokes to make everyone laugh! Matthew fondly remembered Uncle Frank teaching him about football as the two of them watched a Villanova game many years ago.
